You will be assigned a race swim cap.  Goggles and wetsuits are strongly encouraged.

IMPORTANT:  Should swim conditions be deemed unsafe for any reason, the athlete must be prepared to run 2 miles in lieu of a swim, and continue (or finish at Vice Versa), with the planned bike and run distances of the race.

Each athlete is required to wear an approved helmet during the bike segment. You must have your helmet securely fastened on your head before you mount and dismount your bike. Drafting and blocking (impeding the progress of passing cyclists) are not permitted during the race. USAT officials and/or course marshals will monitor the bike course and strictly enforce these rules.  Keep right, pass left strictly enforced.
