Rules & Regulations

USA TRIATHLON:

Vice Versa is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. All USAT rules will be in effect during the event. These rules will be reviewed at the pre-race meeting, but only highlighted at that time.

This is a non-drafting race. Please direct any rules questions and/or protests to the USAT officials on site. Protests of penalties must be filed with the Race Director within 60 minutes after the protesting individual finishes the race. See their web site for additional info at www.usatriathlon.org.

Race Numbers

  1. Registration will mark your body with race number at check-in on Sunday morning. A number for your bike will be provided in the race packet and must be used.

  2. Runner's number’s are also in race packet and must be worn in FRONT of the body.

  3. You only need a body mark number to swim with.  No need to pin it.

Dropping Out

If you drop out of the race, it is IMPERATIVE that you notify a race official and give your timing chip to the marshal or finish line.

*No iPods or earphones!

*No drafting

The start of the run will be a “rolling ceremony”. The racers will gather at the west side of the transition area and be led by Team Brandon for a .2 tenths of a mile around the block from in front of the beach club driveway, down to Allen, west to Ocean Avenue.

As the runners approach Corlies Avenue, the cannon will sound signaling the start the race.

If you have a relay team, all members of the team may also join in the race start ceremony by staying in the back.  Bikers and swimmers may head back to transition after the cannon start.

You MUST have bar end plugs to compete. We will have an inventory of bar end plugs but can not guarantee we will be able to provide them to everyone in need of them.
